I hope you are enjoying your summer break if you’re having one or the brief dry spell we are all having!

Firstly I want to notify you that the AGM for Ireland Lacrosse will be held on Saturday July 27th in UCD I would appreciate it if you could circulate this to your members and urge them to attend. Also please ensure at least one club representative attends the AGM to ensure any issues your members want raised can be.

We will be circulating a Newsletter closer to the time confirming start time and room details, agenda and other information, (please let me know if you want any specific agenda items included for the AGM).

Regarding the Irish Lacrosse League for next season, we are currently formulating a schedule for the season and would be obliged if you could let me know of any appropriate events to be included or dates that need to be considered (college exams etc). It would be good to have as complete a schedule for the coming as possible to ensure members know well in advance of upcoming events (these can include any events your club will be involved in such as: lacrosse games, tournaments, lacrosse related social events etc).

ILL for 2013/2014 as discussed at our last meeting there were proposals made for changes to the league these were:

· Increased number of Gamedays – 6 per season

· 3 Additional games to be played but will be agreed between clubs and will take place outside the context of the Gamedays yet will contribute to the league standings.

· The Newtownards Cup is to revert to a 10-player format (not 8 players)

The above changes will be raised at the AGM and subject to a vote as per current procedures. The referring issues discussed will also be raised at the AGM.

The board will also be proposing changes to how the league is administrated at the AGM, I won’t go into detail here but will discuss it at the time, however I believe that the changes will be beneficial for the constituent clubs.

Finally if all clubs could confirm next year’s club committee representatives for both men’s and women’s as applicable (remembering every club will only get one vote on any one issue).

Thanks and Regards

Colm Murphy
