Saturday the 15th of November will see the second game day of the Women’s Newtownards Cup. The game day will be hosted by Galway Lacrosse and involve five women’s matches being played at the Dangan Pavilion in Galway.
The Dublin Avengers will look to win both of their matches to be in with a chance of winning the Cup.
The first match will see the Avengers come up against UCD Blue for the second and final time of the season. As their main rival, this will be the most competitive match for the women on the day. When the two teams last played UCD Blue won by 3 goals so the DALC ladies will be out with Avengerence* to ensure that doesn’t happen again this time round.
The second match of the day for the Avengers will be against Galway. The two teams have not played yet this season but it is expected to be a close match. Galway had a strong match against UCD White in the first game day where they won 26-0.
