Double recorded two wins in a double-header played on February 16th. In a difficult, yet well-fought match, Dublin secured an 11-6 victory over UCD. Nicola Kiely and Emma Whelan persevered on attack to rally for four goals each. Aisling Casey, Evanna Murphy and Annie Page each recorded one goal. Assists came from Emma Whelan (2) and Laura Field (1). Dublin’s defence again proved strong, as Rebecca Moloney recorded two saves. The game ball was given to rookie Laura Field. Field has shown significant improvement in her play and knowledge of the game, making her an important asset to the team.
In the second game of the day, Dublin defeated Belfast with a final score of 10-0. Nicola Kiely and Annie Page each scored three goals, helping Dublin obtain its second shutout victory of the season. The other goals came from Laura Stokes (1), Zara Brownless (1) and Emma Whelan (2). Dana Alexa and Emma Whelan were responsible for one assist each, while Aisling Casey recorded two. The game ball was given to Annie Page, whose resilience in the midfield and dominance on attack enabled Dublin to secure the victory.
