The Dublin Avengers’ Women’s team had their first training session of the season on Tuesday evening in Blackrock. The training session saw some new faces as well as players returning from the previous season.
The team’s official training will begin on the 30th of September in 3 Rock Rovers Hockey Club. However, as the women will be competing in the Ken Galluccio Cup in just over two weeks we have started training earlier than usual.
The Ken Galluccio Cup will take place in Ghent, Belgium from the 13th-14th of September. Here the women will compete against the top teams from all the European club leagues for the glory of being crowned the best club in Europe.
This is the first year that an Irish team will compete in the women’s competition.
